These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Akarido & Co. website and your purchases from us. By accessing this site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

Akarido & Co. (“we,” “us,” “our”) sells curated vintage goods sourced from Japan and vetted in California. You can reach us at shop@akarido.co.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and able to form a binding contract, to purchase from us.

3. Our products

Nearly everything we sell is pre-owned and one of a kind. We test and service each piece and describe its condition, including any faults, in the listing. Photographs are of the actual item wherever possible; slight variation in color or detail can occur between screens and in person. Because stock is limited to a single unit, an item may sell out while it is in your cart.

4. Pricing & payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change without notice. Payment is processed securely at checkout by Shopify and its payment partners; we do not see or store your full card details. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including for pricing errors, suspected fraud, or stock issues, and to refund you in full if we do.

5. Shipping

Shipping, transit times, insurance, and duties are described in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Returns & refunds

Returns are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Akarido & Co. name, seal, wordmark, site design, photography, and written listings are our property and may not be copied or reused without permission.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt to access it in any way other than through the interface we provide.

9. Disclaimer

Our pieces are vintage and sold in the condition described, with disclosed faults. Beyond what we state in a listing and our Refund Policy, the site and its contents are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Akarido & Co. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or a purchase. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
